Alex Horzany is now 94.
He was in the 42nd Infantry Division and remembers "I was sleeping" when the attack began. He later fought in New Guinea where he contracted malaria.

The USS North Carolina (BB-55) My all-time favorite warship. As an elementary school student in North Carolina, I donated nickels and dimes to save this ship back in the early sixties.
